Fundraising and Development Assistant

Are you ready to get your foot in the door at a growing, vibrant nonprofit?

We are looking for a Fundraising and Development Assistant to join our team. The position will be 50-75% and will work closely with the Director to support the mission of Madison Cat Project and ensure the development department runs smoothly. Schedule will be flexible to work around a second job.

Required Qualifications:

Must embrace the mission of Madison Cat Project.
Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members and other volunteers.
Be a “self-starter” and goal driven.
Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals.
Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability.
Experience with Microsoft Office and general office tasks.
A bachelor’s degree.
Able to pass a criminal background check.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous nonprofit experience.
Fundraising/development experience.
Experience with donor database software.
Experience managing social media.
Experience with Quickbooks.
