Monthly Spay/Neuter Clinic
Madison Cat Project strongly supports humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) as a method to control outdoor cat populations. TNR is 100% effective at preventing additional kittens from being born and it therefore stops the population growth.
One Saturday every month MCP works with the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine to offer affordable spay and neuter surgeries/vaccinations for cats that live outside.
Veterinarians, veterinary technicians, students, and other volunteers donate their time to help keep costs low. We are able to spay or neuter approximately 70-80 cats each month. The cats do not need to live in Dane County to participate.
We only do this one Saturday every month, so we usually book up at least a month in advance if not more. If you are caring for cats that live outside and are interested in getting them scheduled for one of our Spay/Neuter Clinics, please fill out the scheduling form. The suggested donation per cat is $35.
